The Top Five Spices Used in the Caribbean

With such a wide variety of ethnicities in the Caribbean, the spices of choice are widely varied. Here are the Top Five we found used the most throughout the region and in many of our Caribbean Spice Belize products.
1. Nutmeg
Used ground quite a bit for Bar Beverages and sauces. Also used to prepare many dishes.
2. Cloves
Cloves can be used for both sweet or savory dishes either whole or ground.
3. Cinnamon
Many folks in the Caribbean refer to this as "Hard Spice" also. Great with coffee or deserts.
4. Allspice
This is a favorite in many Caribbean entres. Some think it is a blend os spices but it's not.
5. Ginger
Ginger is great for many things when it comes to great Caribbean meals.
